It’s been 4 years since Britney Spears started her ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ Las Vegas residency show, and on Dec. 31, 2017, it will finally come to an end.
Since Dec. 27, 2013, the ‘Toxic’ singer has done 249 shows, all of which took place in The AXIS Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Initially, the show was only meant to last for 100 shows, but after proving to be a Las Vegas success, the show extended into 2017. when asked about the show, Spears said she had “no idea how magical this experience would be… I love Las Vegas and will miss performing this show.” The show has been well received in Las Vegas, earning 4 ‘Las Vegas Best Of’ awards in 2017. Among the honors included was Best Production Show.
The ending of ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ closes another chapter in the singers illustrious career. The numbers produced by the show include-

Since the show has started, many other singers have followed suit and have accepted residencies of their own. Some recent artists accepting residencies are Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, the Backstreet Boys and Mariah Carey. ‘Piece of Me’ has seen a who’s who of celebrity attendees over the years. It has been reported that the show brings in an extra annual $20 million a year for Planet Hollywood.
